lesolay
Site URL: https://www.entertheliminal.com Hello! I am in the process of building my first website (ever) with Squarespace. I have created a footer, but it is huge. I want to make it smaller but as of now can't find a way to do it. I do have a password for the site, but the site has also not yet been published. So I am not sure if anyone can access it to help me, even with a password. I am a BEGINNER and a bit lost. I would appreciate any help. Thank you! Link to comment
Ziggy
Welcome to Squarespace! The website footer is made from standard sections just like the rest of the pages, and these have a minimum height setting in the section settings. When you click "Edit Section", you'll see this dialogue open, you can set the section minimum height here with Small Medium or Large: Does that answer your question? lesolay 1 Please like and upvote if my comments were helpful to you. lesolay
Hi Ziggy! Thank you so much for your reply! ☺️ It makes sense b/c I have done that with other sections. But when I click "Edit Section", mine says "Format" instead of "Design". I have included a screenshot. If I select "Fill", it does the S, M, L option....but the entire footer is still way to tall. Did I do something wrong or maybe need to remove and add a different type/style of footer? Link to comment
Ziggy
It it inherently tall because of the number of rows you have: lesolay 1 Please like and upvote if my comments were helpful to you. Cheers! lesolay
Yes, I noticed that initially. I tried both manually entering a smaller # and using the arrows, but it will not go lower, only higher. For some reason it won't go down - the # of rows. 🤔 Link to comment
Solution Ziggy Posted September 10 Solution Share Posted September 10 The reason that it won't go down would be because there is a block at the bottom of the section. The rows only get added or subtracted from the bottom. lesolay 1 Please like and upvote if my comments were helpful to you. Cheers! lesolay
Ah.... I SEE!!!!! 🙌 I have made some adjustments, moved the IG block up and reduced the # row count. I would still like it a bit smaller, but I am going to play around. So much better! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! ☺️🙏 Ziggy 1 Link to comment
