Grid view for Blogs weird responsiveness behaviour on mobile.

Recommended Posts

New to SS. Using grid style galleries to display photos for our blog. Expected behaviour would be for the images to retain their 3- horizontal stack when moving from desktop to mobile, but SS moves the image down to create an awkward 2-1 split. Is this intended behaviour? Is there a fix for this? Uploading and arranging images individually gives a 3-strip on desktop and 3-stack on mobile which is fine too. But so tedious to do one by one since you can't copy and paste blocks.

I did a search for this on the forum but didn't find anything - may be using wrong keywords as I cant be the first asking about this!

TIA

Hi @Gemini604

Yes, this is the intended behavior in Squarespace's grid galleries—they automatically adjust based on screen size, and on mobile, images often shift to different configurations like 2-1 stacks for better readability. Unfortunately, Squarespace doesn’t offer a direct way to lock a 3-image horizontal stack for both desktop and mobile in grid galleries.
