All users must reconnect Google Sheets by 23 September

All website administrators should have received a notification from Squarespace that informs you that if you have any form or newsletter blocks connected to a Google Sheet, then you will need to disconnect/reconnect by 23 September 2024. A number of my clients say they did not receive (or did not notice!) the email so I thought it was worth posting here in case you are one of the people who didn't see it. It's super important, so make sure you do it or else your sheet won't be populated with data after that date.

While the above linked notification includes instructions on how to do this, there are some other factors that may need to be taken into account that are not covered in the Squarespace guide, so I have written a handy blog post to help folks carry out the reconnection safely and smoothly. My Squarespace forms are a few and they connect to two Google Drive spreadsheets.

So

Form A connects to Google Spreadsheet 1

Forms B, C, D, E and F connect to Google Spreadsheet 2

I am finding it extremely frustrating that I cannot reconnect to the existing forms.

The two Google Spreadsheets are, in turn, connected to other apps - so there is a full pipeline in place.

Now, even though I can import all the previous entries from Google Spreadsheet 1 to the new spreadsheet that is created with the same name, and make the previous redununt,

What am I supposed to do to connect Forms B, C, D, E and F to the same new Google Spreadsheet 2 which is created when I reconnect Form B into the drive? 

I need to be able to select the newly created Google Spreadsheet 2 to all these forms or my entire pipeline will stay broken forever.

Any advise?
