You do this by sharing permissions, they will then have to accept the permission and can then purchase a subscription for that website and connect the domain. NB subscriptions can not be moved between websites, so your friend will need to purchase a new one and then cancel the previously purchased one if that is no longer needed. Contact support to get a pro-rated refund.
