How to remove the space below the video

Hi all, I'm trying to remove the padding below my video, so there's no space. Basically get rid of the red part I added to the following screenshot.

Videos in a block fill the width not the height, which makes it difficult to fill the a space. The gap is small on desktop, but huge on tablet when the video block width gets narrower:

This setup really doesn't work with a video block. If you're willing to use some code and happy for the video to be cropped, you could use a split section (with code) and fill space on the right with the video.
