Text Box Problems in Footer

I'm starting my first SquareSpace site. I inserted the footer in the photo and the email address keeps ending up on 2 rows. As a result, I'm trying to figure out how to make the text box bigger. My efforts to do this have failed so I'm here to ask. I don't want to change the size of the font. TIA.

To make the text block bigger it would likely need to be further to the left to make the space to make it bigger.

How do I make it bigger?

Use the bounding box handles to resize it.

I tried that and it kept snapping back to the size it was originally.

Are you dragging it within the grid, or extending off to the right of the grid?
