Split screen with gallery slideshow

I'm trying to create a split screen with a gallery slideshow on one side and text on the other (that will stack in mobile view, not overlap). I've gotten close (as per screenshot attached) but I'm struggling to get the slideshow to fill the frame. I would greatly appreciate any advice. Thanks

Try this method with a gallery section instead of the gallery block you are currently using:

Thanks for the suggestion, Ziggy. I gave it a try and the gallery section worked nicely but this doesn't allow me to edit the block on the opposite side of the images, where I want to place text. Any further suggestions?

Hmmm, I wasn't factoring that requirement in! Would captions work?

I wonder if you could combine this with the previous, though not something I've tried before.

I think you can consider using List Section Banner Slideshow, I used to help a member to create split layout with left text right image with Banner Slideshow

Thanks guys. It seems there is no straight forward solution, so I've just changed the design slightly. See the attachment. Much appreciated.
