Forms connected to the google drive

Hello,

i need help with forms and google drive. I received an email that i needed to remove my forms from google drive and than reconnect, as google has made some modifications on their end. I can follow the instructions until i get to the google drive - connect prompt and at that point i cannot connect to the drive.

Updates to Google Drive connection to Squarespace forms  Hello,  You're receiving this because one or more forms on your site(s) are connected to Google Drive. Due to required updates from Google, you'll need to fully reconnect all applicable Squarespace forms to Google Drive by September 23, 2024. Without this action, Google Drive will stop receiving submissions from those forms.  Google Drive connections can be present for form blocks, newsletter blocks, cover page forms, and promotional pop-up forms.  To reconnect your forms, take the following steps:  Log into your Google Drive account at drive.google.com Click the gear icon in the top-right corner and select Settings from the dropdown menu. Click Manage Apps, scroll down to Squarespace, and click Options. Select Disconnect from Drive from the dropdown menu. This will disconnect Google Drive from all forms using that Google Drive account, so you only have to disconnect from Google’s end once. Go back to your site(s), and double-click each form block or newsletter block that has an existing Google Drive connection. Click the Storage tab. Click Google Drive, click Disconnect, then click Disconnect again to confirm. Then, click Connect next to Google Drive, and follow the prompts to connect the form back to Google Drive. I followed these instructions but realized Squarespace was not connected to our Google Drive. Some Google Forms are connected to SquareSpace through links but not through form blocks. Do I need to follow these instructions to use Google Forms on Squarespace through connected links?

We have the same issue and the real problem is re-linking to an existing spreadsheet that we had. The only option when you reconnect is to create a new spreadsheet. For us, this does not work as we built a lot of automation into the existing spreadsheet. 

How do we re-link to an existing document that has been created? 

Unfortunately, you can't, this is a weird Google Drive update but the parameter still applies from the storage setup guides:

Keep in mind:

• The form needs to connect to a new, empty spreadsheet. You can't use forms with existing spreadsheets.
