Connecting unsupported .sa ccTLD to SquareSpace

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I plan to buy a Saudi Arabia .sa ccTLD domain. Those can only be purchased from local providers. I want to link the domain to my SquareSpace website after purchasing it. It must:

  • Link to my SquareSpace website.
  • Be used for Google Workspace Emails.

I can't transfer the domain to SquareSpace as this ccTLD is currently not supported. I cannot also use the "Connect Domain" option since none of the providers on the list sell .sa domains.

The only option I can think of is to add A and CNAME DNS records on my provider's side to resolve to SquareSpace IPs/names. This should be simple for the website but not sure about the email. Will I be able to link the domain to Google Workspace account opened through SquareSpace?

Thanks,

It isn't necessary to "transfer" a domain to Squarespace. Instead you can "connect" it. To do this you'll use the Squarespace "DNS Connect" method where your domain provider will host the DNS records and you'll edit them, using their service, to connect your website. You can do the same to connect Google Workspace. There are separate guides for each.
