Mobile Version and Half-Screen Desktop edits affect each other

Recommended Posts

Website: benballmer.com

Hi! I've had success resizing and modifying the mobile version without changing anything in the full screen desktop view, but I've noticed that whenever I resize or re-space items on the mobile version, it changes sizes/spacing on the desktop view when minimized to half screen.

To see an example, go to the website's about me page and make it take up half the screen instead of the full screen -- whenever I try to change the misshapen photo frame, the shape gets wonky on the mobile version (and visa versa).

Has anyone had this problem before? Just trying to have three separate sizings for Desktop, Minimized Desktop, and Mobile.

Thanks,

Ben

This isn't an option. Screen widths of less than 767px will follow the mobile layout, above 768px will follow the desktop layout, there is not a layout for a "minimized desktop" or tablet screen resolution.

Noted. Thanks! If they're both following the mobile layout, why do all the videos on the homepage look different on a half-screen desktop view (photos attached). Is there any way to fix this ? Whenever I make one look normal, the other one gets messed up.

Mobile Version, follow by desktop at half:

Are you referring to the overlapping?

Yes, whenever I pull the videos apart so they don't overlap on the half screen desktop version, they look too far apart on the mobile version, and then when I pulled them together on the mobile version, they overlap on the half screen desktop. I'd like to see if I can make them scale correctly on each version.

I would suggest making them correct on the mobile preview, with no overlap on the blocks and the rows *should* stretch on a tablet screen.
