janvirant
Hi! I'm designing a website for a Slovenian client. The language has some characters that are usually not in the default character set of a font (ć, č, đ, š, ž). Is it possible to somehow enable Latin Extended character set in fonts that are already implemented in Squarespace? Thank you and have a great day. Jan Link to comment
Ziggy
I think this will depend on the font family you use. Noto Sans is a great option for a huge character set: Please like and upvote if my comments were helpful to you. Cheers! janvirant
Hi @Ziggy, thank you for you input! I'm using Neue Haas Grotesk though and want to keep it. I know the font itself has Latin Extended characters, I'm just looking for a way to add them if possible. If not, I can still use the font with all characters hosted somewhere else, but I would like to avoid that, since the same font is already implemented in Squarespace. janvirant
I'm afraid that is not the font, letter forms are very different. Here is an example from my website: Edited August 29 by janvirant Link to comment
Ziggy
You're right, when I set it the characters are slightly different (though closer than yours for some reason). I think you would have to upload the full character set as a custom font in CSS, if you have access to the full font set. Please like and upvote if my comments were helpful to you. Cheers! janvirant
I was hoping I could avoid that, but it is what it is. Ok, thank you for all your help! Ziggy 1 Link to comment
Ziggy
I've never seen a way to alter the built-in fonts, if you want any customization, you need to upload your own font.
