Need help from a squarespace ninha

Hi there, 

I have to buttons in my header, I want only one. 

I added some css to add phone number to header which I think caused the issue (i no longer need the number as i used the announcement bar instead). I have now deleted the custom css but for some reason the button doubled on the header. In edit mode the second button goes away (which is what I want) and it stays gone after saving in preview mode but as soon as I exit the changes do not save and I am back to having two buttons again. any idea how i can fix this? 😖
