How to reduce the space between pages in an index?

Recommended Posts

Posted

Hi there! Can anyone let me know how to reduce the space between the pages in an index?

In the screenshot, the gradient is the last part of the first page of the index, then the white is the rest of the first page, then the light gray is the beginning of the second page. I'd like to move up the part that says "In Person Services" so there isn't so much space between it and the gradient (ie, so much space between the pages of the index). Thank you!!!!

Hi, the page is very off kilter generally, what have you been trying to achieve with code? Can you what you've added?

@Ziggy I'm able to adjust the top margin of each individual page. I'm wondering if there is a code that would take care of it for the index though so I don't have to change each page? Can you share what's showing up off-kilter as it's looking ok from my laptop, and when I check the tablet and mobile view....? Thanks for your help!

How are you doing that?

@Ziggy I used this to adjust the top margin:

//CONDITIONS page adjust top margin bw index pages TABLET & DESKTOP//
//bw health solutions and conditions page if you'd like text box//
@media only screen and (min-width: 641px){
    //bw health solutions and conditions page if you'd like text box//
#block-yui_3_17_2_1_1724889006274_35118,
//quote on in person page//
  #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1724897973090_187783

  //telehealth solutions//
  #block-66ca99b4d9331e7976e8a47b,
  //home based healing soultions//
  #block-66ca9a298892e34c601640b0
  {
  margin-top: -130px
  }}

And, thanks for the screen shot of how it looks for you. I moved everything from a dropdown to an index. Is it still looking wonky?

@Ziggy I think the wonky bit is this situation:

I designed this as an index, with multiple pages (Pain Relief, Emotional Wellness, etc) in the index, and had it in the unlinked section. I made a dropdown for the main navigation with a link to the index pages. When I look at the pages in the index, they are full screen. When I look at the pages from using the dropdown link, they are all wonky and show up with a navigation area on the page from the dropdown.

I'd like to have in the main navigation the page titles from the index, but if I move the index to the main navigation, the pages don't show up unless it's a dropdown.

Is there a better way for me to do this? Or should I use css to adjust the dropdown to be full screen? I'm not sure how to fix this and would love your suggestions. Thanks!

I don't think so, but I don't remember how this old template works.

You may want to use anchor links to get to the page sections rather than linking the pages within the index:
