Although I appreciate this isn't what you want to hear, the checkout page on Squarespace is locked down! It cannot be modified. Also, you cannot integrate another checkout option into Squarespace Commerce and use the inventory management features, shipping and so on. If you're looking for a workaround, where you use Squarespace purely for the website features (with no built-in ecommerce) and then add another ecommerce solution/payment method, like ThriveCart.
