Request for Guidance on Improving Our Nonprofit Website

I hope this message finds you all well. I’m reaching out on behalf of our nonprofit organization, Feel Worldwide Foundation Inc., which is dedicated to empowering communities across the globe. We recently launched our website, and as someone with no prior experience in web development, I’m eager to get some expert eyes on it.

I would be incredibly grateful if you could take a moment to review our website and share any suggestions or improvements. I’m looking for all possible ideas on how to enhance the user experience, design, functionality, and overall impact of the site. Your guidance will be invaluable to us.

Hey Bob!

Great that you have a nonprofit.

Here's some initial thoughts after giving it a quick scan -

Increase the margins on the side so that there's more space. Right now everything feels a little cramped on the sides, plus it's hard to read text when it spans the entire width of a site.

Crop the logo to just the text... or put the image to the side of the text. The square is just too big, plus it's almost touching the top of the page.

Simplify the opening statement so that's more clear... it really needs to be 'dumbed down' a little so that people can quickly understand who you are and what you do without having to figure it out. This is the sentence I'm referring to - "Fostering entrepreneurship, economic empowerment, and cultural exchange for a prosperous world."  

Rework the footer so that it isn't quite so long... you could move the Donate button somewhere else and widen the Subscribe section so that it's horizontal and not vertical, or just move it to the section above the footer so that it has more space. I would also include all of your links in the footer as well.

Most pages more color! Adding some color/images/etc will make it more visually appealing and keep people on the page longer. Also check out the empty space at the bottom (it's on most pages)

Adding pictures to the "our team" page will help too.

"Donate" is in the top navigation twice. When you're logged into the backend of your site, drag the "donate" page down to the "not linked" section. That will remove the extra link in the header, but still keep the button.

The thing that gets people to donate are stories... including testimonials (both written and video form) from people who have been impacted from your organization will go a long way in moving the needle.

Happy to talk about any of this further and give more suggestions. I work with nonprofits a lot to increase donations and get the word out.
