Are we supposed to receive a Squarespace account to manage DNS now?

Im reaching our because I have no idea and no good advice online. 

I have a website that was built and hosted on Google Sites. My domain is also purchased by google.

I have suddenly lost my website and I assume a simple DNS fix would help this. But since we dont have DNS on gsuite and im supposed to manage it on Squarespace how do I do that? Do I signup for a squarespace using the gmail account? Website has been down for days, no blogs are available written by any Squarespace bloggers.

Yes, you were supposed to get a Squarespace account. You were also supposed to receive an email with Login and Password. If you did not, try your Google login and password with Squarespace.
