LBab
Could anyone let me know if they have integrated Australian Payment processor E-Gateway with Squarespace and whether it was a simple process? https://www.eway.com.au/integrations/?&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=AU-AO-Integrations%3A SEM - CPC&utm_term=integration with payment gateway&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIwMmhzrmHiAMVAqRmAh3WmiOIEAAYASAAEgL4c_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Link to comment
Solution creedon Posted August 22 Solution Share Posted August 22 Squarespace has no mechanism to integrate external payment processors into their system. You can only use the ones they support. LBab
Thanks @creedon for your reply. I was under the impression I could integrate a 'buy now' E Way button to Squarespace (a bit like a Shopify 'Buy Now' button). The problem I have is that my client asked me to build her e-commerce site in Squarespace (which I have completed), but now she has decided she only wants to use Eway as the payment processor because it's Australian (not any of the built-in Squarespace options)... tearing my hair out a bit! The problem I have is that my client asked me to build her e-commerce site in Squarespace (which I have completed), but now she has decided she only wants to use Eway as the payment processor To accept credit card payments on Squarespace commerce, your client must use Stripe. To use Eway for an ecommerce solution, you need to integrate their API, and it simply isn't possible to add this to Squarespace. It goes against their business model; they want anyone to be able to build a beautiful online presence, supporting full-scale e-commerce, without needing to understand APIs, PCI compliance or anything like that. Regarding Eway's "Pay Now" buttons, as I understand it, these are only for accepting pre-determined payment amounts, like donations. Eway isn't a commerce solution so, unlike the Shopify Buy Buttons, there's no backend to create an order, remove items from inventory, and so on. Did this help?
