How to display one portfolio item on another page?

Hello!

To show the same content on multiple areas of a site, I would typically use a Blog Collection and a Summary Block. This way, I can add categories to have finer control over which 'blog posts' I'm displaying and where. However, I don't love how limiting the blog page design capabilities are.

For a site I'm working on now, I'm using Will Myers Tabs Pro plugin (shout out—It's such a great plugin). However, it requires me to use a Portfolio collection rather than Blog collection. I love how easy it is to make it look nice! But I'm struggling to figure out how I can show individual 'portfolio items' elsewhere on the site, and how to control which ones I'm displaying and where.
