User1776 Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Hi, I seem to be having a weird glitch on my site. I posted one event that has an 'excerpt' (written in the settings tab) as well as a full 'summary' (written on the events page). On the full events list, only the 'excerpt' (written in the settings tab) shows, which is how it should be. I posted a second event that does NOT have an 'excerpt' (written in the settings tab) but it does have a 'summary' (written on the events page). On the full events list, there should be nothing in the 'excerpt' section because (as you can see in the photo below) there is no 'excerpt' in the settings tab. However, in my case, it shows the entire 'summary' where the 'excerpt' should be. How do I fix this? I want nothing written when there is no excerpt, but I cant turn off the option to display the excerpt because some of my events do have an excerpt and I want those to show.

We can check problem easier. @tuanphan https://www.thepromiseofliberty.org/events Do you see how the event labeled 'Empire State Rare Book and Print Fair' does have an 'excerpt' (written in the settings tab) so the 'excerpt' is shown on the full events list page under the event title, BUT the event labeled 'FORMAT & TESTING' does not have an 'excerpt' (written in the settings tab) so the full 'summary' (written on the events page) is being shown on the full events list page? How do I remove this? I want only the 'excerpt' (written in the settings tab) to show on the full events list page and NOT the 'summary' (written on the events page). If the event does not have an 'excerpt' then I want nothing to show in that spot. (I want to remove the 'summary' section - the part with an X over it - in the picture below) I published this page for you to see even though it is not fully finished! Thank you so much for all of your help.
Solution tuanphan Posted August 22 Solution Posted August 22 You can use this to Website Tools > Custom CSS to fix problem. div.eventlist-description .columns-12 { display: none; } User1776 1 Email me if you have need any help (free, of course.). SSA Posted November 4 Posted November 4 @tuanphan I have the same problem, except that if I have no excerpt, I DO want the full summary to appear. There does appear to be a glitch. If I set up an event and didn't have an excerpt, the full event summary shows on the Events List. However, if I added an excerpt then deleted it, the full event summary no longer displays. Unfortunately, you won't be able to access the actual site since this event list is behind a Member Site paywall. Ideally, the logic would be Show Excerpt, but if blank, Show Full Event Summary. Any ideas?

Currently I don't have much time to create site and test, so if you can move it outside Member Area and share link, or create a test trial site & share link, I can check easier Email me if you have need any help (free, of course.).
