gbt64
Not sure if this is an SEO question or a style/content question... Heading tag question: I have secondary keyword phrase that I would like to tag as h2, but it needs to be part of a paragraph, stand-alone (e.g., not a title above a paragraph). Can I can assign an h2 tag just for a phrase within a paragraph? Doesn't look like it? (If I try to style just the keyword phase as h2, Squarespace changes style of the whole paragraph to h2. I'm not worried about the appearance, because I can make the h2 style look the same as the body text. I just don't want Google to consider the entire paragraph as a keyword phrase. If not, can I use css to do it? TIA. Link to comment
creedon
The effect you want can not be done natively with Squarespace and CSS can not make structural changes to a document. Only JavaScript can do that. CSS is for styling. JavaScript is for structural changes. Please see the follwing. You need the business plan or above to run JavaScript. Let us know how it goes. gbt64 1 Find my contributions useful? Please like, upvote, mark my answer as the best ( solution ), and see my profile. Thanks for your support! H2 tags are meant to indicate headings, helping to structure the content of a page in a hierarchical manner. While you technically could use an H2 tag within a paragraph, it’s not a good practice. It would be better to use headings for their intended purpose and use other methods to emphasize phrases within paragraphs. creedon 1 Have SEO questions? Chances are we've written about it!
