7.1 Blog Post Lacks Text Box- No Option to Add?

I am trying to create my first blog post in 7.1. It states that a text box should be included already, but I only see the title block. I have no options to add a block either. Am I missing something? Can someone help me out?

Choose the edit section button, move your cursor under the blog title and down until a blue square appears. Choose the + sign and a menu panel will come up on the left with choices for many blocks including one for text. You will know it is there when the words "write here" appear in the box.
