OK to switch shop's Stripe account to that of a different company?

Our company bought the business of another company which sells membership subscriptions through Squarespace.  We did not buy the shares of that company, but its assets including the website and customer contacts.  We now want to change the Stripe account linked to the Squarespace shop (i.e. the account that belongs to the other company) to our company's Stripe account so that subscriptions can continue uninterrupted through the same shop.  Can we use the process of copying existing account data to a new Stripe account to do this?
