Is there a workaround to offer Paypal Payment with subscriptions?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, I know Paypal isn't supported as a payment method on subscriptions (memberhsips), but I am wondering if anyone has found a workaround?
Since my business is located in Germany and most people don't use credit or debit cards here, the majority of my customers will be lost. This only gives me the option to leave Squarespace...

Thank you! 🙂

I have the same issue - and it is incredibly frustrating given that most other membership/subscription sites accept Paypal. I seriously don't understand why Squarespace does this. I thought I had a work around by sending them an invoice for year long payment that they can pay through Paypal, and then issuing a 100% discount code, but it still wont let them sign in without adding a debit/credit card (I guess for future subscription). I did this for two people, but then had to log into Squarespace with their password (that they were kind enough to provide) and sign them up on my card, then remove my card. I can't do that for all my European customers without a debit/credit card. It seems so strange to me that Squarespace has not resolved this, they are supposed to be the top of the game. Costing us (and them!) money!
