Request for Help with a Few Obstacles in Bilangual Website!

Hi everyone!

I’m creating a bilangual website on Squarespace 7.1. I’ve figured out most things, but I’m encountering three issues! I really hope someone can help me because I’m stuck!

1. Language-specific Button in Header:

I have a button on the right side of the header. It’s in the original language and links to the “/word-lid” page in that language. However, I want the button to display English text and link to “en/word-lid” when the website is viewed in English.

I thought of the following options:

   - Either use code to translate the button and recognize the language (English) so that the button text and link are updated accordingly.

   - Or have an extra button in the header, and depending on the language, either Dutch or English, one button is hidden.

Maybe my ideas are incorrect, but I also can't implement either of them.

2. Language Flags in Header:

I have flags in my header so that when you click on a flag, you see the website navigation only in that language, and you can easily click through the website pages. However, I want the user to remain on the same page they were on, not be redirected to the homepage. It should function as a translation switch. So if you’re on the Dutch contact page and click on the English flag, it should take you to “en/contact,” for example. It’s also quite glitchy.

Additionally, I don’t know how to adjust the positioning of the flags in the header.

3. SEO for Bilingual Website:

Now that the website is bilingual, how do I handle SEO in Google search results?

Sorry for all the questions, but I’m doing this voluntarily for our organization and I really want to do it right! I’ve come far by reading the forum.
