block of options in forms - size and position

Hey guys, I need some help for a form .
 

The cells where the texts are written are too big, but I would like to put some of them next to each other instead of below each other. 
 

For example we have guests and I want to know how many adults and how many children, so we have 2 dropdowns, one with how many children and the other one with adults. I want to make them smaller and put them next to each other instead of below as it takes really a lot of space. 

same with the dates, we have From - To dates. I want to put them next to each other. 

can somebody help please?
