Naked Domain cannot be redirect to www version

I am purchase a domain from Squarespace, no problem linking it with my google site. However it appear that the naked domain does not redirect to my www version. For example  "https://example.com" will goes to "We're under construction. Please check back for an update soon" , I need to physically enter "https://www.example.com" and then it goes to the correct website.

I have try to redirect the naked domain to the www version , but it does not seem to work.

We can't help very well without knowing your actual domain.
