Unable to scale video block to ratio/horizontal

Hello,

I am adding a horizontal video to a client website. Every option I choose for uploading the video in different sections, etc., is keeping the video horizontal but the block is incredibly long and vertical. It does not let me shrink the size of the block to fit the horizontal video, thus taking up a ton of white space, or overlapping other images. Is something being done wrong? Is there a work around to resize the video properly? The video size itself is what I want (horizontal), but I don't want the block space overlapping other layers. It simply won't let me resize it to remove the excess white, like you can for any other block. 

Additionally, I cant make it a section background video because it is over the 1 minute limit. 

Any ideas? I've never had a video issue before.

I had it live, but removed it because the black gradient on the bottom went so far down the page simply looks bad.
