Embedded PDF doesn't load consistently

Hey all!

I'm having trouble with embedded PDFs failing to load/display consistently -- I have to refresh the page multiple times for it to show up. I use the 'embed' component and link to a file (PDF) that I've already uploaded to squarespace by creating a link and using the upload function.

Some workarounds that do work consistently but would rather not use: 

• Link to the PDF: if I display a link to the PDF, when you click the link it will properly display the PDF without fail
• Publish the Google slide deck to the web and embed it using a code block

Some things I've tried or noticed:

• Clearing cache: Seemed to do the trick for a hot second, now that doesn't work anymore
• I've recently updated my site from 7.0 to 7.1 -- I don't remember having this issue when I was using 7.0
• Even when the page is blank, the page does seem to fully load -- the issue isn't that the PDF loads slowly

I've attached a screenshot of the console of when it doesn't (left) and does (right) load as intended. 

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue? Thanks in advance! :-)
