95 on Desktop Performance through Google vitals

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hello everyone, I managed to get my website to 95 on Desktop mode and 46 on Mobile mode. It took vast changes, but if anyone needs tips, just let me know.

Quick Notes:
I used Caesium to compress my images under 200kb and 1000 x 1000 jpeg format.
I'm only loading two images on main desk top view.
Switched to squarespace 7.1
Made all my javascript lines resolve on same command line
Add a force not lazy load function to the CSS
Forced height and width for my logo for CLS shift
No animations
Lower text view does not encompass more than the 2 images (ideally trying to get a solid 16:9 to 1)
Goal is getting higher.
Also ensured SSL was HSTS checked off
All CSS was compressed using a minifier
1 Font (Roboto) for whole website

Unfortunately as per Google Search Console, it's own analytic tool impacts speed, so I'm debating remove it and testing the speed again, I'm just concerned losing prior analytics.
