Help setting up email forwarding and SMTP server in gmail

Recommended Posts

Hello, I need to make my custom email domain send to my email. The configuration is correct in squarespace, but it is not forwarding. Is it because it was configured less than 24 hours ago?

Another question is that I would like help with SMTP settings, which is how to send an email via gmail to psilogo@marcelquirino.com. In gmail it asks for an SMTP server, username and password and you have to choose a TSL or SSL connection and password.

I recently lost my SMTP connection from gmail to squarespace and have had no luck reconnecting it. Can someone at squarespace please share the protocol to connect?

I had over 30 domains hosted with Google Domains for many years. All the domains were migrated to Squarespace just like everyone else recently. I've had no issues until Aug 12th 2024 and I stopped receiving emails from on of my business emails. It has always been set up as an email forward (brandon@mydomain.com -> forwards to mygmail@gmail.com).

I have other domains with Squarespace, and they are set up the same way and I can send and receive emails from my Gmail account.

Something has changed, but I cannot get Squarespace to assist. At this point, I'm considering moving all domains where I can get help when needed.

I also have this issue and am waiting for a response from squarespace support.  I can forward my emails to gmail but can't add @domain email for Send mail as.

This worked for me!

SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com
Username: [email account you are trying to add an alias to]
Password: [the 16-letter code]
Connection: 465, SSL

I made an App Password, and inputted that 16-letter code where that yellow pop-up box asked for a password. Here is the link to make an App Password (Google now makes it hard to find this page.)

Hope this helps.
