Custom Product Status Badges

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi! I'm hoping for some help...

I'm trying to setup some custom tags/badges on products which are for example 'Popular', 'New', or 'Coming Soon'.

I have tried following a very useful guide from https://sf.digital/squarespace-solutions/adding-a-custom-product-badge-to-squarespace but even after customising the tag name and saving, the badge still does not display on my product icons on my store.

All the correct code is pasted in the FOOTER Code Injection box.

What am I doing wrong?

I'd also like to be able to apply multiple different badges to different products. Is it a case of just duplicating the code, and changing the relevant tags?

As I explained in my guide, you cannot use it to add three different badges like 'Popular', 'New' and 'Coming Soon'. It will only add a single custom badge. For multiple badges, I'd need to write something more complex.

If you're having difficulty with a single badge, please provide a link to the page and I'll take a look.

Hi @paul2009,
Got a little issue with your script.
The badge will only show while connected to squarespace admin.
On private mode or other browser not connected the badge won't show.
No ajax loading issue as the site is on squarespace 7.1
Jquery is called.

I attached a screen capture where you can see the badge correctly displayed, but only while connected to squarespace.

Thanks for your help,
Best,
Fabien

I wonder if there is a conflict with other code during the page load? If I run it manually, the badges appear:

As an aside, I love their products.
