Advice on a business listing website

Hi 👋 I'm fairly new to Squarespace and have so far built similar basic pages. A new client would like my help on developing a listing website. So one landing page that would then split to three areas, from each area there would be different industries and business that people can browse and search for. Is there this functionality on Squarepace? Has anyone created any similar example I could look at or suggest any good templates? 

I've added a search button by code for a few sites but don't feel it is very responsive and worried this ask is based on easy user experience to search and filter quickly to access the list of businesses that match.

One landing page then split to three areas: you can disable header/footer on this page, then add 3 sections side by side, or 3 image blocks side by side, with 3 buttons to link to different business pages.

on each different business page, you can use Site Nav Replacer plugin (referral link) to build different navigation/logo header on these pages.

My main concern is how a user will search or filter options on each area to search for a business they want. I haven't found the search bar very responsive in the past. Can you add filter categories? Any experience in this element?

I have no idea with Search. Can't achieve search on a group of specific pages
