Canonical URL

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have created a website on new Google Sites and transferred my domain name to Squarespace. It's been a months now since the website has been live but its subpages are not yet crawled by Google. I checked on Google Search Console and the issue may be that Google sees its Google Sites URL as a canonical page and my custom domain name equivalent of the Google Sites pages as non-canonical and hence the pages are not being crawled by Google. Is this possible even though I added and verified my custom domain name on Google sites? If this is the case, how should i tell Google to see my custom URLs as canonical and not the Google Sites URL?
