Changing domain name while keeping all content/pages?

Is it possible to change my website's domain name while keeping all my original content, links, design format, etc? 

I don't want to start from scratch on my website design, but my business name has changed and the original domain name no longer makes sense. I'm not sure how to proceed.

Hi @dmaxonight it will depend on who your new domain provider will be, will it be Squarespace or a third party?

Either way, although the specifics might differ slightly, the principle is the same. You can connect a new domain to your website, leaving your website unchanged.

@melody495 I have been using squarespace and have a squarespace domain, "www.daniellemaxon.com" but I want to change it to my new business name. I just really don't want to lose all my content, blog, design work, etc.

Will you be changing your domain? Or will you be using the same domain, and just changing your logo/business name/site title?

@melody495 I want to change the domain name/site title to my business name, since my legal name has changed.

I built my website from a Squarespace template and I'm now about to buy a domain for it (through Squarespace). However, I have already set up stripe payments and external fulfilment via a third party. If I change my domain name will they still work? In Paul's answer above he says the other domain will only be available for a period of time. But in this case, as it is the original site name given to me by Squarespace, will it still be available to stripe and the third party?
