eZeeBags Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Ours is a non-commerce site ( not a store or shop ) but sell physical products for B2B. csv imports without any error but nothing on the page. In a commerce site fields like SKU, Price etc are available on the page. However in our site not available. Is this causing the problem and how to fix this. We have over 1000 products with dozens of variants and manually adding content is a nightmare. Please let me know where I am going wrong.
creedon Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Where are you importing this CSV file into? Selling > Products? eZeeBags 1 Find my contributions useful? But cannot find the content. I am not sure if in non-commercial site I can use csv import
creedon Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Quote No error message after upload. But cannot find the content. Assuming something hasn't gone very wrong, imported products have to be imported into an existing Store page. Quote I am not sure if in non-commercial site I can use csv import Personal plan sites can set up a Store page but it won't function publicly until you get the business plan or above. eZeeBags Posted June 9 Author Posted June 9 Thank you Creedon for your prompt assistance. But ours is not a store. Its a portfolio of our products for B2B customers and there is only a contact us lightbox and the conversion takes place off site. I mean, there is no add to cart check out in our website. That said, can I do csv import. TIA.
Solution creedon Posted June 9 Solution Posted June 9 The only Page type that you can import a CSV into is a Store page. No other page types, such as Portfolio pages have a CSV import feature. For Store pages the CSV has to be in a very specific format that SS understands. There is nothing preventing you from using a Store page as a kind of product portfolio. If you don't want an Add to Cart button, you can hide that. Many many posts on various ways to do that. If your CSV is of an inventory of some kind it may make more sense to use a Store page because it has fields for SKUs, variants, and etc. eZeeBags 1 Find my contributions useful? eZeeBags Posted June 9 Author Posted June 9 (edited) Thank you Creedon for your guidance. You are a star, a rock star. Did a quick search for Hide Add to Cart button and no joy. Can you point me to some threads where it is discussed so I can check it out today. Enjoy your weekend. Edited June 9 by eZeeBags creedon 1
