Use file name to auto-generate title

Hope there’s a way or perhaps custom-code has been written to auto populate/generate an image title from the original file name! I’m hoping to use image galleries to display proofs to clients. Manually entering file name is tedious and time consuming. Any help appreciated!

How are you displaying the images? Gallery Blocks, Gallery Sections or something else?

Hey Paul,

Thanks for your reply!

Here's a link and screenshot of the page in question, which is a photo gallery.

My site is in Version 7.0 - Ishimoto family (Ishimoto template). If there's another way to set up the pages or the site I'm game.

I've manually entered a few (abbreviated) file name's as Title to visualize it and it tested my patience manually keying the info. It's not a feasible workflow to showcase customer work. This page of 200 photos is a small job, relatively speaking.

Great @Matuk. Then you should be able to use the solution I provided on my website here: How can I display filenames in a Squarespace Gallery Block?

When I add it to your site, it looks like this:

Let me know how you get on 🙂
