tristanhobson
Hello, i am thinking of switching from WordPress to Squarespace and now building out a test site. On point I really hope to have and simplify with SquareSpace is a filterable image gallery. In essence on a landing page called 'images' I would like to have an entire overview of images and then using a filter the viewer can dial in specifically what they are seeing. Alongside this, I would also like both the overview page and the filtered gallery to show images neatly in various image sizes. As an example you can see here what my old site has: https://tristanhobson.com/photography/ Is this possible in Squarespace? Is there a current template that offers this? Does it require a plugin, or specific code? Thank you in advance for any input and help!! Link to comment
tuanphan
Squarespace has no option to achieve this, but we can achieve it with custom code + Gallery Section. I created a quick demo on Squarespace for you here. If you like this, I will give you a guide to achieve it. https://section-demo.squarespace.com/gallery-fade?noredirect pass: abc Click: A or B or C Email me if you have need any help (free, of course.). tristanhobson
Thanks for the feedback. What you created is a cool idea but unfortunately I don't think it will cover what I need as the original home page showing all ABC would have a variety of different images randomly laid out so then when you click A or B or C and it makes an opacity highlight the user would end up having a variety of "blank" spaces in between the original random layout. Unless I am seeing this incorrectly. Thanks Link to comment

meg_virginia
@tuanphan Do you have a guide for the second gallery with the filter? If so I'd appreciate it! Link to comment
