When should a client connect their Stripe account to new site, if they're moving from an old site?

Hi everyone!

I designed a new squarespace website for a client moving from 7.0-7.1. We haven't gone live yet, but when should I recommend they disconnect their stripe acct. from their old site and connect to new site? After going live or before?
