Expanding text on hover

Hi all, 

New to using Squarespace and I am trying to make my companies old Squarespace website more user friendly and up to date. 

On the Portfolio page, I want the text overlaying the images to expand when you hover over it, and also still remain as part of the portfolio image that is then linked to a wider page on the portfolio. 

Have seen a few things on making images expand/zoom on hover etc but can't find what I need for the text. I have attached a video of an example of what I am looking for.
