Several questions - am struggling! CNAME and contact verification

Hi there - I am really new to building a website and have had several obstacles so far.

1. I have bought and paid for the domain scapestudios.co.uk and set the website up. As part of the package I should've been able to set up a new email address (ideally enquiries@scapestudios.co.uk). But so far I've been unable to do this as I've been told the domain associated is in use and I have to basically prove ownership of it with a CNAME. This is all a different language to me but I have an email with some details that don't seem to translate to the CNAME form. The email has the following details. Can someone treat me like the idiot I clearly am and explain how I do this? Squarespace just keep resending the info but don't seem to explain it in layman's terms...I just want to know what I need to write! Here is the content from the email...

The following instructions outline the DNS record (CNAME or TXT) to add to your domain settings. Learn more

  1. Via CNAME (preferred):

    • Label/Host: 51398965
    • Destination/Target: google.com
    • Time to live (TTL): 3600 seconds / 60 minutes / 1 Hour

These fields don't match those in the CNAME form..

Second problem is I have received an email asking me to verify that I own the domain and I will lose it if I don't.(this wording -

Please verify your contact information

Recently you registered, transferred or modified the domain name(s) listed below, and we could not verify that your contact details were correct.)

But every time I try to upload my ID or change the address (the postcode is slightly wrong) it comes back with this error message. I have attached and selected drivers license and saved it as a PDF several times. Also when I amend the address as the contact details are wrong by one letter in postcode it doesn't change it.

Please verify your contact information

Error: Document type must be one of: utility_bill, bank_statement, id_card, official_letterhead, companies_house, tax_notification, drivers_license, company_stamp

Apologies for the long winded message but I have spent hours on this and am a total loss.

It should look something like this:
