Every time I send an email I loose 2% of my mailing list

Recommended Posts

I am so frustrated after transferring from Mailchimp to Squarespace for email marketing. Each time I send an email, I lose 1-2% of my mailing list. This is not through unsubscribes - this is them not being delivered. I don't even know who those subscribers are as they are then automatically deleted from my list. I have seen others reporting similar issues. I have gone through all the steps in ensuring all my DKIM SPF stuff is sorted out, but I cannot afford to keep loosing subscribers like this and feel I will have to go to a different email provider. Has anyone had this issue and found a solution?

As a starting point, I recommend that you export your mailing list so that you have an accurate record of the 'before'. Exporting your mailing list again later will help you to compare them.

If you have a large list, consider using a list cleaning service such as BriteVerify or ZeroBounce to validate the email addresses on your list. You'll be surprised how many email addresses can be invalid, even when you’re following best practices. For example, you may have received signups from spambots, people making mistakes, and people trying to send you inappropriate or unsolicited information.
