ksachse
I'm using iHomefinder to provide IDX for my client's real estate website, and the maps are hosted by Mapbox/Mapquest. For some reason, the maps inherit a mystery monochromatic color palette when they are displayed through Squarespace. However, when I view the map within Mapbox, the colors are neutral/user-friendly. I asked iHomefinder about this and they pointed to Squarespace, saying that it's incredibly difficult to recode map colors so they stay away from it. I've double-checked all color settings within both iHomefinder and Squarespace and there aren't any options for changing this. Is anyone else running into a bizarre map color issue like this? Solution ksachse Posted May 23 Author Solution Share Posted May 23 (edited) Thank you Tuan, just figured it out! It seems that the map colors pull from the site's background color. Now, Squarespace no longer has a universal setting for site background, so I used this code to override: // Change Site BG for iHomefinder Widgets BG and Map // body { background-color: #f7f7f7; } Some of the iHomefinder widget backgrounds also borrow this color, so changing the site's background affects other widgets as well. New Map: Wonky, but we'll take it! This is the website in case you're still curious.
