Increase horizontal padding width on simple list module

I am trying to increase the horizontal padding on the simple list module so it aligns with the rest of my site (see reference screenshot for ideal design). Okay with either 2 or 3 columns, whichever looks best with the updates.

Is this a custom css update or can it be done in the settings. Unable to find the adjustments in the sizing and spacing options.

You would just hit edit content -> size and space -> space between items -> hit the three dots and adjust to exactly how you'd like

Unfortunately when I decrease that to 0 the gap is still large - I think it's more about the module margins than space between items.
