Contact Form Image Uploads

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi there!

I recently added a contact form on a client's site with the option for image uploads. The form storage is going directly to an email. We had a customer reach out via the form and uploaded multiple images with their inquiry. We are both not able to open up the images (on separate devices). Does anyone have a fix or troubleshooting practices for this?

Thank you!!

I don't have any way of knowing why you can't open the images from your email, I like to connect Google Drive as a backup of submissions and now uploads which may help in the future. Have you tested the form yourself?

Hello,

I'm having this same issue during testing: I completed the form, which included uploading a few images. The form was emailed, all fields complete, with links to the images, but when I click on the links I get error messages ("This page isn't working."). I get the same error messages when I try to open them from the completed form in Squarespace.

Anyone able to help with this?

Thank you!

@sarahirvine11 @bethesdatattoo Just to check, what permission privileges do you both have on said website? I've not seen this issue myself for the website which I am the owner of.

Otherwise, this sounds like a bug. Please contact Squarespace Support for help!

Thanks, @melody495. I have administrator privileges; are those not enough?

I appreciate your help; I have an email into Squarespace Support as well.

Unclear! Squarespace hasn't specified what privileges are needed. But I was curious if that was a possible issue.

Do let us know when you have news from Squarespace!

Did you ever find a solution to this? My client is having a similar issue.

Hi, for anyone who didn't find a solution, you will need to change the access level for the contributor. I had this problem for a client who had Store Manager access. I have changed them to an administrator and they can now access the messages. Hoping Squarespace can rectify this, as I don't want everyone to have Administrator access but they need to to access the uploads so for now there is no choice.
