Force Gallery Slideshow to use ?format=2500w

Recommended Posts

My architecture office's webpage has photographs, renderings, and architectural drawings displayed in a slideshow block. Currently, the default javascript fetches lower resolution versions of each uploaded file than is available from the server. I would like to force my webpage to fetch ?format=2500w at the expense of load time so that my architectural drawings show their best. There is a workaround I'm aware of to embed PDFs on my page, but I would prefer to simply access the 2500px wide PNG versions rather than use a workaround for every project gallery. Any chance someone out there knows how I can do this?

Thanks!!

I dont believe you can force this without just building out your own custom image gallery or maybe trying to learn how to use the image loader, however it shouldn't be loading in images that are lower resolution than the width of the container it's in. And they should sort of swap in place as the screen is resized to the correct one. Can you confirm that your getting images that are lower resolution than the size of their container?

This fairly old post gives you some code to start with. http://seejohncode.com/2017/04/13/squarespace-imageloader-options/ See if that can help?
