Enable clickthrough of an image open in a Lightbox

Hi, 

I have a gallery block on most of my pages for displaying images. Some of the images link to dedicated pages to show more images from that project and some open to a lightbox as there is no clickthrough associated with them. 

Is there anyway to force all images to open in a lightbox and then still enable a click through only when the image is open in the lightbox. Ideally i would like a hover button in the centre that pops up with 'View More' 

Any help greatly appreciated. 

Can you share link to page where you use gallery block? We can check easier

You mean like so, the image shows with the link in their captions?
