tatobodeman
Hi Friends! I am setting up a new store for a client, and it has several different categories. So, what i'm trying to figure out how to do is finding a way to display the clicked category name where it currently says "new arrivals" in the heading, so the heading would match the store category. Is this doable? Link to comment
creedon
Yes. Edit the product list page section and turn on Category Title. Let us know how it goes. Find my contributions useful? tatobodeman
Thank you creedon, for your response, but i'm not quite there yet. It did toggle the category/store name, but I was wondering if there's any way that I can have the category title/store where the New Arrivals text with the background image is. Is there a way to achieve this? If there's anyway to also customize the background image to match the category title, it would be perfect! Link to comment

tatobodeman
Also, quick question... If I have a subcategory, is there a way to still show the header with the top category instead of the 'default'? Link to comment
creedon
Unfortunately Squarespace hasn't seem to catch on that this effect is popular and built it into their backend as a feature. Quote If I have a subcategory, is there a way to still show the header with the top category instead of the 'default'? So if I understand you might have a category hierarchy like red > green > blue and you've not created sections for the green and blue of this hierarchy so you want the red section to show when green or blue are viewed and not the default. Does this sound correct? If so you'd do something like the following for the section for the category hierarchy. <x-twc-splcsr> <!-- the format of each line is a category list for category list use values from Store Settings > Categories > [category name] > Edit > NAME field for the store page. you need all the text from the field for a top level category you would enter something like... Top Category For a nested category you enter something like... Top Category > Sub Category the category list can not contain a colon character following is an example line. copy the example line below and paste after the example line. remove the less than exclamation double dash space from the beginning of the pasted line and space double dash greater than from the end. repeat for as many category list as you want to reveal a section. this has been done once initially --> <!-- [enter category list here replacing square brackets] --> red red > green red > green > blue </x-twc-splcsr> Let us know how it goes.
