Google is reporting duplicate pages from Squarespace website

Google is complaining about duplicate pages not being indexed.

I've checked the pages on the site, and squarespace is creating separate 'pages' with tags, author, date etc for each blog.

Is there some way to turn off this duplication so that google won't complain?

You can exclude category and tag pages from search results, they will still appear in GSC but as blocked rather than duplicate.
