Third party domain connection issues

Hi everyone,

I've recently purchased a domain from GoDaddy, I've finished designing my site and now ready to go live. I've watched a few YT videos and followed the instructions on how to connect a third party domain to my site but I keep getting this message pop up when trying to connect. I've searched the Squarespace pages about connecting 3rd party domains and have tried to find out why it isn't eligible to use but no answer.

It is not eligible to transfer because you have only just purchased it, you need to have had it for 60 days before transferring it. That said, you don't need to transfer it, you can simply connect it instead. Select connect domain rather than transfer:

I read about the ownership of 60 days before transferring but yeah I'm just trying to connect it but can't even do that as when I go settings>domains>use a domain I own>type in my domain name it comes up with the same message above. It doesn't give me an option to connect instead of transfer, It just asks for the domain I own and then tells me it's not eligible.

It's very odd that it's not giving you that option. I would suggest contacting Squarespace Support to get some help with this:

Yeah I didn't know if I was doing something wrong or if it was something strange going on. thank you for clarifying. I'll contact them now
