FunkiG Posted April 29 Posted April 29 (edited) I am a new Amazon affiliate partner. When I signed up with Amazon my understanding was that affiliate text links and image links would be available to me to use. But I just learned that as of January 1, 2024, only text links are available. There apparently is a workaround for WordPress sites using Lasso, which allows one to use Amazon image links, but my understanding is that Lasso does not work on Square Space. Does anyone know if there is a workaround for SquareSpace sites, whereby image affiliate links can be utilized? Edited April 29 by FunkiG to provide clarity Beyondspace and Alholmes09 2
Solution FunkiG Posted April 30 Author Solution Posted April 30 (edited) OK - I think i found an answer. For a SquareSpace business account, there is an Amazon block feature which an Amazon affiliate parter can use to search for an Amazon product, and the picture of the product is displayed, which contains the affiliate link. It is explained here: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/205814038-Amazon-blocks Edited April 30 by FunkiG Clarity Beyondspace and TaitDesign 2
SamB24 Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Are you allowed to use the Amazon Block feature to add images to your website when you are new to the Amazon Affiliate program? I see that Amazon says you have to have three purchases prior to getting an API key through them and being allowed image access. I don’t want to violate any procedures by using the blocks on Squarespace. Has anyone had experience with this? Any info is greatly appreciated. Beyondspace 1
FunkiG Posted October 16 Author Posted October 16 My two cents: you can use hte block now, before you make three sales, and making three sales in the first six months is required to be allowed to stay in hte amazon associates program. You can also check with amazon associates customer service - they typically reply within 24 hours.
